Skilled Nursing Compliance and Ethics – What Happened? What is Next? – Proposed/Final Regulations and Key Practices for an Effective Compliance and Ethics Program

Description: This session will review current required elements as set out in the Requirements of Participation’s regulations for skilled nursing facility compliance and ethics programs. Session will identify OIG and CMS-stated key elements and practices to building and maintaining a highly effective compliance program, including the importance of a compliance program work plan and an annual review process. Presentation will also discuss a facility risk assessment and how providers can tailor their compliance and ethics program to their circumstances and unique characteristics.
