About James
James Junger is a pharmacy and regulatory compliance attorney who works with safety‑net health care providers on complex federal reimbursement and compliance issues, including the 340B Drug Pricing Program.
A nationally recognized 340B attorney, James provides practical, strategic guidance that helps clients remain compliant while using program savings to support essential health care services. He advises hospitals, federally qualified health centers, hemophilia treatment centers and other federal grantees across the country.
James’s practice includes:
- Advising on 340B program compliance, operations and optimization strategies;
- Managing and responding to drug manufacturer and HRSA audits;
- Negotiating complex pharmacy and health system transactions; and
- Supporting grant‑funded providers in maximizing program revenue and sustainability.
James also advises clients on long‑term strategies to maximize the benefits of federally qualified health center status and frequently works with safety‑net providers to align pharmacy and 340B program operations with broader organizational, financial and mission‑driven goals.
James co‑leads the Hall Render Pharmacy & 340B Collaborative, where he works closely with health systems nationwide to address emerging regulatory, audit and reimbursement challenges. He considers his work—supporting access to care for underserved communities—among the most meaningful in private practice.
James is a strong supporter of the Wisconsin Parkinson Association, having served on its Board of Directors since 2025.
