Systemic racism and social injustice are pervasive in our society. The harm has manifested itself in countless overt and covert ways, such as the senseless killings of far too many including Elijah McClain, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, and Rayshard Brooks as well as through social determinants of health as a barrier to health equity, inequity both within the legal system and industry and microaggressions in the workplace.
