ERISA is sometimes used to refer to the full body of laws regulating employee benefit plans, which are found mainly in the Internal Revenue Code and ERISA itself. Practice in this area is not for the fainthearted. There is a myriad of rules, regulations, and pitfalls for the unwary and unsuspecting practitioner. This seminar will be helpful to attorneys who work or are planning to work in the area of employee health, disability, and other types of benefit plans that are governed by the ERISA.
