Fraud and Abuse/Compliance

The Affordable Care Act and related health reform initiatives signal the federal government's intent to continue aggressively fighting fraud and abuse under the federal health care programs. The Affordable Care Act includes new transparency requirements for pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers. The law also created new enforcement tools by expanding the reach of the federal Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and False Claims Act. As the nation's largest health care focused law firm, Hall Render is prepared to provide in-depth guidance and analysis to health care providers as they navigate health care reform's increasing emphasis on compliance related matters.
