Biography

Mr. Guild has vast experience in litigation in the areas of insurance defense, medical malpractice defense, products liability and general aviation aircraft crash cases. He has practiced before state and federal courts involving a wide-range of litigation matters facing the health care industry. The majority of his  35+ year practice has been in defending health care providers (hospitals and physicians, as well as nurses and nurse practitioners) in medical malpractice actions and before various state licensing and regulatory authorities. Much of his medical malpractice experience has been in "catastrophic injury" cases, including birth injury claims. He has handled medical staff disciplinary cases, licensure and contract matters in rural as well as "university hospital" settings. In recent years Mr. Guild has become increasingly involved in the defense of major claims against nursing home facilities and their employees.
