Practice Areas

Biography

Ms. Turner's practice concentrates on advising hospitals, health systems and physician organizations on health law-related matters, including employment matters, contracting and information systems.  She has litigated employment law claims on behalf of employers before state and federal courts and agencies, including claims on age, race, disability and sex discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation and violations of restrictive covenants in employment agreements. A significant part of Ms. Turner's practice focuses on assisting clients in interpreting federal and state employment laws and developing sound and consistent employment policies and procedures. Ms. Turner frequently presents educational seminars to employers and human resources representatives addressing various employment issues, including restrictive covenants in employment contracts, navigating through the FMLA and ADA, hiring, performance evaluations and termination of employment.

Ms. Turner’s practice also focuses on the drafting and negotiation of agreements for software development and licensing, IT consulting services and other information systems.
