Hall Render is pleased to announce Of Counsel attorney Andrew Coats has joined the firm. Coats, son of Senator Dan Coats (R – IN), is based out of Washington, D.C. and practices in Hall Render's Federal Legislative & Regulatory Advocacy and Government Relations & Public Policy practice groups. He is also a principal in Liberty Partners Group, a leading governmental relations and consulting company in Washington, D.C.
Coats brings a decade of legislative and regulatory experience to the firm having worked in the Bush Administration and on Capitol Hill. From 2003-2006, he served as a Legislative Assistant for Indiana Congressman Mark Souder where he acted as the Congressman’s point of contact on the House Education and Workforce Committee and the Select Committee on Homeland Security. Prior to his work on Capitol Hill, Coats served as a Congressional Liaison for Bush Administration Labor Secretary Elaine Chao.
Coats completed his undergraduate studies at James Madison University and earned his law degree at Indiana University. He is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association.
