Biography

Ms. Girod focuses her practice on regulatory and compliance matters, corporate transactional matters, clinical services and patient care issues, and legal and ethical issues involved in clinical research activities. She regularly advises our clients on physician/hospital transactions, as well as providing general regulatory advice relating to the federal Stark Law, Fraud and Abuse laws, and other corporate counsel matters. Ms. Girod also assists clients in the review and negotiation of clinical trial agreements, and other legal and ethical issues related to research involving human subjects or human biological materials. Ms. Girod worked as a nurse and an assistant professor of Bioethics prior to attending law school. She earned her law degree, summa cum laude, from Indiana University-Indianapolis Law School in 2007. Ms. Girod is admitted to the bar in Indiana.
