Jennifer Viegas focuses her practice in the area of supply chain procurement, operations and management. She counsels group purchasing organizations, hospitals, health systems and other health care industry partners on supply chain strategies that help create efficiencies and manage operational costs. Jen helps clients navigate fraud and abuse and other regulatory considerations when employing such supply chain strategies. She assists health care entities in developing standard terms and conditions based on risk tolerance; in negotiating complex supply chain agreements, including, but not limited to, supplier, distribution outsource and service agreements; and in internal training sessions with in-house counsel as well as supply chain departments that address the regulatory framework in addition to contracting pitfalls. Clients who are actively engaged with their supply chain in all aspects are often able to lower costs, increase quality and improve performance.
Additionally, she provides general counsel services to clients on a variety of health care matters, including clinical services and patient care issues and issues related to human subject research. Jen earned her undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Saint Louis University in 2005 and her law degree from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2008. She is admitted to the bars of both Indiana and Michigan.
